What are the basic lessons that we can learn from Ramayana?

Answer by Guru Ashish:

Ramayan, written by Valmeeki thousands of years ago, has inspired many interpretations by authors and philosophers around the world. But there is a beautiful lesson that can be learnt from Ramayan if you accept it's very basic yet enlightening interpretation. It goes the following way:

Consider Ram as your soul. Then Sita is your heart. Ravan is your mind that steals your heart from your soul. Lakshman is your consciousness, always with you and active on your behalf. Hanuman is your  intuition and courage that helps retrieve your heart to re-animate your soul.

Life is a constant battle between our mind and soul for our very existence on the face of this earth. We constantly fight between whats right and whats wrong and often fail to come to a conclusion that can define us as a human being. In comes our Lakshman (our conscious), the inner force which hints us and often guides us to do the right thing when in dilemma.
Every now and then we need our own Hanu-man (our very own super hero, our intuition and courage) which pushes us to achieve greatness.

So, if we can learn this valuable lesson and recognize our own potential and start believing in ourself, then nothing in life is not achievable.

Have a great day!!
